Event Tech –  Technology Apps to Assist the party

So it’s the big day.  You’re hosting a get-together tonight at an event space with some good friends, and you have already hit panic-mode.

Here’s our list of easy-to-download phone apps that will help you get through your party preparation with ease and success!

FOR FOOD:  Pepperplate

Not sure what to include on the menu this time?  Download Pepperplate, an app that will allow you to manage different meals and recipes, share them with others, and create grocery shopping lists.  Customize your own appetizers, dinners, and desserts with this one app. Talk about being organized- meals are quite literally at your fingertips! Available for free.

FOR BOOZE: Top Shelf Drinks

Want a chance to practice perfect mixologist-inspired techniques when making alcoholic drinks for your guests?  This easy-to-navigate app has pre-installed drinks and recipes all organized for you into different categories.  You can add drink recipes you love to a “favorites” list, and also add personal notes on any recipe!  Download Top Shelf Drinks Available for $0.99.

FOR FUN AND GAMES: Heads Up

Ellen DeGeneres knows what’s up with her new app Heads Up! This “guess-what-I-am”-inspired game involves trying to guess a word on someone’s phone while they place it up to their forehead.  This game can lighten the mood in an instant, creating lots of laughter and fun! New York Times labelled it “Sensational” Available for $0.99.

FOR MUSIC: Jukebox Hero

Trying to satisfy every guest possible with the most perfect playlist, but failing each time?  Jukebox Hero is an app designed for an interactive experience, as guests who download it are able to vote on and veto which songs should be played, as long as it is connected to a stereo.  This app will take the pressure off of you as hostess!  Available for free.
